| Description | The microorganism causing Nocardiosis, an infectious pulmonary disease characterized by abscesses in the lungs. Nocardiosis is an infectious disease caused by the fungus of the species Nocardia, which affects the skin, lungs, central nervous system. Etiology of nocardiosis (causes of nocardiosis) Nocardiosis pathogens are the anaerobic Gram-positive bacteria Nocardia, which usually inhabit the decomposing components of the soil. Nocardia bacteria are widespread in the soil around the world. Normally, nocardiosis begins with lung damage, then it can spread to the brain and skin. In light mushrooms get out of the air, which is contaminated with dust from the soil. In extremely rare cases, fungi enter the body through injured skin, or the gastrointestinal tract. If microorganisms have penetrated through the injured skin, they begin to form granulomas in the tissues and slowly spread to nearby tissues.
