Description | This worm is spread all over the place. Trematode leaf-shaped, measuring 2-7 cm. The head end is issued in the form of a protrusion on which the oral sucker is located, and somewhat lower than the abdominal sucker, serves for fixation to the host organ. Behind the mouth hole is a muscular pharynx behind it are two highly branched branches of the intestine. Testes and ovaries also strongly branched. The uterus is located on the front of the parasite behind the abdominal sucker, below the testes. On the sides of the parasite a powerful branching of the vitellaria network is formed. The fasciolae feed on the hepatic tissue, during egg ripening they are localized in the liver ducts |
