Name | Adhesions |
Description | Adhesive intestinal tracts are formations from the connective tissue (strands) between the abdominal organs and the intestinal loops, leading to splicing or gluing of the serous membranes of the organs with each other. As a result, there is a splicing between them, which entails a wide variety of functional disorders. The cords themselves consist of the same tissue as the outer wall of the intestine. Most often, this pathological process is caused by previous operative intervention. According to statistics, if the primary intestinal laparotomy intervention was performed on the intestine, spikes would form in 14% of cases, and if this is the third operation, then they arise in 96% of cases |
