Program search — Icterus haemolytic (a chronic form of jaundice involving anemia)
Name | Icterus haemolytic (a chronic form of jaundice involving anemia) |
Description | Jaundice and anemia of the hemolytic type, an increase in the spleen and liver. The picture of the blood is characterized by more or less pronounced anemia; morphological changes in erythrocytes are not very pronounced. Osmotic resistance of erythrocytes is often increased. In the blood, autoagglutin-yins are found, giving a positive Coombs test (direct or indirect). The course of the disease is sometimes complicated by hemoglobinuria, often overnight. The prevalence of symptoms of intravascular renal hemolysis, in the form of intermittent hemoglobinuria and permanent hemosiderinuria, corresponds to the clinical picture of the so-called disease (or rather, the syndrome); Marciafawa-Micheli. The course is chronic. Exacerbations are associated with a cyclic increase in the autoagglutinin titer. The prognosis is less favorable than with congenital hemolytic jaundice. Death can occur as a result of acute anemization of the patient during the hemolytic crisis or due to vein thrombosis (portal vein, mesenteric veins) resulting from autoagglutination of erythrocytes. The final recovery is observed in the case of disappearance of pathological autoagglc tinins |
